What is Premiere Dance Theatre?

Premiere Dance Theatre (PDT) is more than just a place to dance - it is a place where students experience personal development, enhanced self-esteem, discipline and creative expression, while enjoying a fun form of physical exercise. Essentially a project in the humanities and the arts, Premiere Dance Theatre is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of dance excellence in a nurturing environment.

 

Since 1992, PDT has brought together dance enthusiasts from all areas and varying backgrounds and introduced them to the wonderful world of dance.  Premiere Dance Theatre has been awarded the NAACP Business Award and a Proclamation of Excellence from the Township of Montclair.

 

Recognized by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the northeastern dance community, the dance competition world and by many school districts for its work in arts and education, Premiere Dance Theatre has developed a wide variety of educational, cultural and recreational programs that reach thousands of people each year.

 

Premiere Dance Theatre realizes that there is a need for a place that will nurture the talents of dancers, provide a valuable community resource for all dance enthusiasts and dance audiences, and create new opportunities for growth and enrichment in all aspects of the Arts.
